New Energy at Nepal Airlines: Amritman Shrestha Meets Media Thanti CEO Damodar Bhatta

A cordial meeting was recently held between Amritman Shrestha, Executive Director of Nepal Airlines, and Damodar Bhatt, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Media Thanti Pvt. Ltd.

During the meeting, Bhatta congratulated Shrestha on his new responsibilities and extended best wishes for a successful tenure.

The discussion focused on institutional reforms, transparency, service expansion, and future opportunities for Nepal Airlines, with an open and positive dialogue.

Priority: Engine Return and Flight Readiness

According to Shrestha, the airline’s engine, sent to Israel’s IAI for maintenance, will be reinstalled on the aircraft, and the engine currently leased will be returned. He emphasized that these operations will be conducted quickly, efficiently, and transparently, with strict directives issued to the relevant departments.

New Leadership, New Energy

This leadership transition brings renewed energy, direction, and hope for reforms to Nepal Airlines, which has long faced technical, managerial, and financial challenges. Attention from staff and passengers alike is now focused on Shrestha’s strategies and upcoming achievements.

Following the Council of Ministers’ decision on 18 November 2025, Shrestha formally assumed the role of Executive Director on 20 November 2025.
