International Support Brings New Hope to Orphaned Children in Nepal

Gorkha || Thanti Khabar || A remarkable act of generosity aimed at securing a brighter future for orphaned children in Nepal has recently captured widespread attention. Deepak Bhatta, President of Solidarity to Nepali People and guardian patron of Shree Navajagriti Chandi Secondary School, along with Michael Flock, President of Jayandra ASBL Belgium, has extended significant financial support to vulnerable students.

A total of 24 orphaned and parentless students have each received monthly financial assistance of NPR 8,000. The support, allocated for the fiscal year 2082/83, amounts to NPR 192,000, which was officially handed over in the presence of guardians and school representatives, according to the school administration.

The initiative has earned widespread praise—from the local community to social media platforms. Many have lauded the compassion and humanity shown by Nepalis living abroad and international well-wishers, calling the act both inspiring and exemplary.

According to the school administration, the funds will be utilized to support students’ nutrition, educational materials, clothing, and other essential needs.

Deepak Bhatta shared:
“Ensuring a secure future for orphaned children is our collective responsibility. A small contribution today can create a big opportunity tomorrow.”

Michael Flock from Belgium expressed:
“Our bond with Nepal is heartfelt. We are proud to contribute toward a brighter future for these children.”
